The Great Gorilla Run

When: Saturday 24th September 2011
About: 1,000 people dressed in gorilla suits running a respectable 7km across London in aid of the Gorilla Organisation, which works to help protect the last remaining wild gorillas from extinction.
Where: London - City and bankside
Why: As a rail retailer we always encourage travellers to "Go Green" by choosing the train as their mode of transport, often considered the climate-friendly way to travel. We are a firm believer in corporate responsibility and we at raileasy believe that everyone has a role to play in the struggle against biodiversity loss. We strongly sympathise with the Gorilla Organisation's cause and hope that by supporting the Great Gorilla Run for the second year running we can encourage people to help save carbon, save gorillas and save the environment.

Raileasy Gives £200.00 to the Top Fundraiser Each Month
Last year we matched the top fundraiser's efforts (a whopping £1390!) but this year the race for the top prize (a visit to see gorillas in their natural environment in Africa) is a little more interesting as we are giving £200.00 to the top fundraiser EACH MONTH for the six months leading up the run - so get fundraising!

The Raileasy Gorilla Team
This year we've got a team of six individuals running in the event; costume ideas welcome (rail related of course!)
